Above all else, Asuragen Services strives to provide the best microRNA and gene expression data quality possible on all our platforms. In fact, we’re so confident in our people, processes, and platforms that we are the only service provider to offer a data quality guarantee:

If, for any reason, a qualified sample does not pass our process control specifications, we will re-run the sample at no additional charge.

What does this mean to you?

It means that we are highly motivated to do everything right the first time and every time. We don’t offer every type of service/platform available – only processes we have assessed as being the best in it’s category. This enables us to become exceptionally proficient on the platforms we offer, like the leading platforms and assays from Affymetrix, Applied Biosystems, and Illumina.

How can Asuragen offer a data quality guarantee?

A few clear reasons this is difficult for other service providers to duplicate:


  1. QC – based on peer-reviewed publications and our own qualification and validation, we know the appropriate QC standards that must be met for every incoming sample type. Our own sample prep and isolation processes include QC spike-in controls according to industry-standard best practices, so if something goes wrong, we know what, where, and why.

  2. Qualified methods – before we offer a new service, we test and re-test it, assessing performance on a range of incoming sample quality. Our criteria are rigorous, defined by population statistical approaches to address sources of variation in key performance metrics like precision, accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity.
