ARQ IS Calibrator Panel™*
The ARQ IS Calibrator Panels are avalible for use as commutable secondary standards calibrated against and
traceable to the WHO primary standard, as described in the Instruction for Use of the 1st WHO International Genetic
Reference Panel for quantification of BCR-ABL1 translocation by RQ-PCR (NIBSC code 09/138) 1,2. They provide means
for laboratories to align the results of their RT-qPCR method to the IS by direct comparison between the nominal
IS % ratios provided with each Calibrator and the % ratios measured by local laboratories.
Panel Design & Configuration
- Compatible with common assay designs using ABL1 or BCR as endogenous control gene
- Each panel consists of 4 Calibrators, covering a range of BCR-ABL1 to control gene
% ratios on the IS that represent the range of expression levels encountered in clinical
specimens, including CCyR (1%) and MMR (0.1%), and a BCR-ABL1 negative control
- Analytically characterized, stable and nuclease resistant Calibrators based on the proven and
validated Armored RNA Quant® (ARQ) technology gives lot to lot consistency and maintenance of BCR-ABL1
to EC copy ratios
|
- Calibrated to the 1st WHO International Genetic Reference Panel1
- Each lot provided with lot-specific nominal IS % ratios for both endogenous control genes
|
Use of ARQ IS Calibrator Panels makes it easier for a lab to be IS standardized
Utility of ARQ IS Calibrator Panel
- Routine monitoring of drift for assays already aligned with the IS.
- Routine monitoring of assay performance, including verification of % ratio on the IS, analytical sensitivity and linearity.
- Reduce or eliminate the need for laboratories to perform patient sample exchange to align or maintain alignment of an LDT or a Commercial Assay to the International Scale.
